Pay per request (x402)
Agents can pay for API calls and packs in USDC with x402, no key or account needed.
PokerData accepts x402 payments, so an agent with a USDC wallet can call the API or buy a pack without an API key or an account.
How it works
- Call a paid endpoint with no
Authorizationheader. The answer is402 Payment Requiredwith aPAYMENT-REQUIREDheader (base64 JSON) naming the price, network, token and receiving address. - Sign the USDC payment and repeat the request with a
PAYMENT-SIGNATUREheader. x402 client libraries such as@x402/fetchdo both steps for you. - You get the normal response plus a
PAYMENT-RESPONSEheader with the settlement. A call that fails (any status 400 or above) is not charged.
Prices
| Endpoint | Price (USDC) |
|---|---|
GET /api/v1/ranges/… (paths that need a key) | $0.01 per call |
GET /api/v1/postflop/node | $0.01 per call |
GET /api/x402/packs/{id} | $50 per pack |
Buying a pack
GET /api/x402/packs/{id} takes a preflop pack id or a postflop pack id. After payment it returns a download link for that one archive:
{
"pack": "nlh-mtt-8max-20bb",
"url": "https://…",
"expiresInHours": 12
}
The link expires after 12 hours, and the purchase is not tied to an account, so download the file once you have the link.
